Of course!

As would have happened if they'd beaten Arsenal or Chelsea.................and as you would have done if they'd beaten Liverpool.

It's just a game. It isn't life of death.

Ah well - there's always next year.

Have to say ManU were class on the day and were clearly fired up as this was their last chance saloon for this season. At 1-0 half-time Wigan could have still been in it but 10 minutes of second half madness where they just let ManU run right through them saw the score go from 1-0 to 4-0 and that was that. Put some pressure on towards the end and should have got a consolation goal but didn't.

Still a great day out - total carnival atmosphere amongst the Wigan fans (as opposed to the 'been here, done that' ManU fans) and to be in a stadium that size with the roof closed is an amazing experience.

The fight's still on for a place in Europe next season, and that combined with a final appearance is more than anyone would have thought pre-season.

Cheers Keith

That forever changed my view of just how important a game of football is.

Sorry drastic edit*

Football is never more important than life, and should never really ever be considered as the most important hing in life to anyone. It is just a game!

Perhaps even more tragic as there was just no reason at all for Hillsborough to happen, pure incompetence on the part of the authorities.
