Civilian radar speed operators - don't get me started...
Bunch of old dads army farts with authority wannabee status. They usally hang around here in their mis-sized loaned yellow jackets just at the point where the 30mph zone kicks in, right on the border. Whilst I generally respect the police, these lot get the abuse and heckling they deserve. |

I got a ticket for 36 in a 30
 Fixed GATSO unit.It was my fault, I know the camera is there, I just wasn't paying attention and talking to my son (I was in the wifes car  ).Everybody complains, including me, but we have to face up to the reality that they are here to stay, so you just have to learn to live them. . |

No they won't stop you, they just plug the videotape intop a machine & generate a NIP automatically. Personal expereince

Well two days to go, I reckon it was about 4.30 Last Friday (3rd) afternoon so will that make Friday be the 14th day? The wait is excutiating!!!

There we go, it was 14 days today when I got done, does that mean I'm in the clear? Where did the 14 days come from, is it an official thing?

yes, by law they have 14 days from date of the alledged offence to send the RK of the vehicle the NIP. i'd give it until monday just in case the post has been funny - i think they could legally have posted it today and it still be valid.
as someone said - 36/37 indicated is likely to be about 34 actual - the generally accepted prosecution threshold is 35, so you probably scraped it.  it is possible to get booked for 31 by a traffic cop in a car with a calibrated speedo though, so watch it
