Nah, I don't entirely agree with that. A bit of rattle's fine, but a lot is indicative of a failing tensioner causing possible timing issues, premature wear o the cam chain and ancillaries, and ultimately risking a jumping chain and rearranged valves.

Though hes right in the main... Motorbikes make noise, and SVs can make a fair amount of rattles without it being a sign there's something wrong.
