Hi

I bought my K3 from Mutley a few weeks ago. It has a stamp in the book for the 600 mile service. After this Mutley serviced it himself. I intend to do the same. Even though it's a K3 its on an 04 plate, so the warranty runs out in May and from what I have been reading on this Forum Suzuki will not be interested in any failures after this point. Even though it has only done 6000 miles. I don't see the point in paying a dealer when I can do it myself.

Kind regards
Tim

I have a dealer service my SV cause I can't afford to do it myself, my time is more valuable than what dealers charge

currently I have 123,900 miles on my nekid 99
it's been in the shop only for normal maintenance
still runs like new or better , performance wise, some minor oil consumption but nothing I am concerned with

Hey Randy0

That is an impressive mileage you have there.

Presumably you have new shock, springs etc.

Just wondered if you had replaced anything else?

Mine is 1999 bike, think it has a paltry 18k or so on the clock but God knows. Had one dealer service while in warranty and had a camchain tensioner replaced. Done it myself since then except a dyno set-up session. Ridden in everything from red-hot Rockingham to snow, never let me down once. Rear shock expired about 12k miles.

Seen too many "professional" jobs on cars and bikes, the number that are just crap is appalling really. Makes life hard for the guys who do know what they're doing, and for the riders who don't know any better.
