So is the z1000, just to make you sick. The book price for the z is £7,345. But I got a pre red (Jan 2006) bike @ 6k over 3 years on 0%. Biggest bike I have ever owned and it goes like stink.

Maybe the next step up from an SV is a Z1000???
My mate across the road has a SV1000s. Now although it looks ok and all that, he has owned it for about 18months and put 18,000 miles on it.
The bolts, nuts and general alloy stuff all look tired. Ok the forks still look Ok, but on the near side of the engine block there is a join and this join is going rusty on the engine casing, Suzuki reckon they will replace the rusty casings, however it does seem worrying.
I was tempted to the SV1000 with the uprated engine, but after test riding the Z I chose that. I have always had a sv650s sk1's and I loved them, they are stonking bikes, for the money.
But i'm afraid to say I was never tempted to the new shape one. Just looked too small.
I only hope the Z stands up to commuting through winters.

thats where youve gone wrong. just dont bother cleaning it... the salt goes onto grime and not the bike and no problems. :P

Well ok a few rusty bolts here but otherwise the bikes ok for two long hard winters riding daily.
