I hate my real first name so everybody I've met through the forum call me Fizz. My off forum mates and work colleagues call me by a nickname based on my surname.

Like Fizz, I don't actually particularaly like my christian name - or any of the common shortenings of it. I just happen, in the real world, to have got stuck with one of them through simple common usage and lack of any nickname.

'K' is the first letter of the aforementioned name, so it's not like I'm being too wierd or obscure - but being known by that is preferable and readily achieveable over an internet forum.

One day, maybe, I'll find out how and change my name officially - until then...

Oh, and I call everyone by their username as I think I only know about 4 real names.

I don't mind. People can call me Kate as that is my usename or Kate as that is my real name.

Nice thing for me is that lots of peeps at soho call me Spidey to my face. As a kid who wanted to get bitten by a radioactive spider so i could be spiderman i never imagind that one day i'd actualy get called by his name too.

Tickles the little kid inside me whenever i hear it too
