my mate Bertie checking over his toy.

coming in to land with me at the back of my house

It's a tight fit in this little baby indeed (thats me in the passenger seat)

Bert was very kind when he was clocking up the hours and used to come and land in the field behind my house. call me on the cellphone and say put the kettle on and we will go for a spin.

great fun i can tell you, that little baby is like a sports car in the sky

I did, after my little escapade with the barrier. Don't remember it though.

Just to clarify a few points. All air ambulances are funded by Charity and charity alone. They recieve NO funding whatsoever from the NHS.

The pilots on the Thames Valley one are all ex RAF pilots who have many hundreds of thousands of hours flying to their names. They do not need to do jobs just to get the experience. I assume it is the same for the Air Ambulances across the country.

There could be many many reasons why that woman was picked up by the Air ambulance. Hypotension, Anaphylaxis to name a couple. I would also be careful about posting her picture on here or anywhere for that matter. She was obvioulsly ill and just because she was picked up by a helicopter does not mean that she is agreeing to having her picture posted on the website.

Still I agree that seeing the Air Ambulance land in your back garden (or near enough) is exciting. I however see the one around here so often that it is not worth a second glance now.

if she can find me she can sue me--

i thought we lived in a democracy and a free world..
too much PC these days.

NONE of my pictures would get posted if I had to seek permission..

where's the permission for paparazzi to print pics of Diana dead- or upskirts of models or celebrities drunk.!,,

i dont think its a concern - it certainly isnt one I will lose any sleep over.
