as you were not there you would not know :P

just to enlighten you the idea of the rideout was for a few of jelster's friends to have a fast run around some really really nice roads. Then steve was kind enough to open it up for allcommers.

the route was exhaustivly posted beforhand (and most people had a copy with them) in between stops the next section was explained ( ok i screwed up with one T junction explanation) everyone was told we will wait for all at the next stop.

we had myself marking particular bad junctions , and richie riding about the middle of the pack releasing me and marking till PBX ( tail gunner ) got there.

this system worked quite well and the fast runners could enjoy their pace , the middle ground could enjoy their pace , and those that enjoyed the scenery could enjoy their pace.

so narr narr to you :P it worked well (nearly all the time) and as far as i know I heard no complaints of any pressure to keep up , from anyone.

so go sit back pete, and drink another pimms :P :P :P stop wielding your big wooden spoon

I have to admit that my little plot, which was aimed at getting Jelster wound up has failed miserably! :P

Have to say there appeared to be a distinct lack of sunshine and much to Liz's pleasure it was obviously best for all concerned that I kept away.

Because it's a photo of the tripple. The SV had it's own picture....

Fair enough so it wasn't just my eyes not being able to focus off the Triple then?

Interesting system you had there, guess it worked having almost several smaller packs into one big pack. Get something similiar lined up for the AR then maybe.

Hope to take the gsxr up there one day

Just to throw my tuppence worth in, the "system" that has always worked for me is to start at the back, compare your capabilities with the riders ahead and just keep moving up until you feel you are riding with the same ability riders.

I'm pleased Quiff said he didn't feel awkward and nor should he or anyone else and he was also spot on (sorry mate, I know you are newcomer to praise ) when he said that we are all following our hobby and entitled to have fun, whatever level we are at. Knowing your capabilities and a good dose of maturity (or so I've been told) will always stand you in good stead. errrhhh I'll go and lie down now
