I have an 020 and i dont find it gives good grip, it likes to spin up and do things that you dont like.

The standard tyres found on the SV, be it the Metzelers on Curvies, or the D220's on Pointies, really doesn't let the bike show its true colours.

A new set of well chosen tyres really does change the character entirely, and just how much will be revealed when you are able to make that comparison.

I went down the Bridgestone 020 route, and while I've always been pleased with them, they're not as good as they used to be (Bridgestone changed their construction some years ago).

My next set of tyres will probably be the Conti Road Attacks, or maybe something a little fruitier - Diablo Corsa's perhaps

Ah in that case ill add it to the things that need to be purchased at a later date once i have my SV. God its all money.... all money i dont have :P

Don't get hung p on chicken strips... Different tyres reach the edge at different points. I took an 020 rear right to the edge after a couple of days commuting... But with the Roadtec rear, it takes a little more effort (put it this way, I have footrest raising plates on mine, and I ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs, but still touched my toe down today at Knockhill *, yet I've still got a wee bit of chicken strip. I doubt I'll get rid of it without dropping the pressure, and Roadtecs feel wobbly at anything under about 36.)

That would seem a situation you would not want to be in

, embarrising that is and one you would never be let down by peeps. So my recomendation is not to do it.

bt-014's seem to work well for me for track/dry road. I haven't really tried them in the wet - I ride my fazer600 with bt-020's in the wet
