The main advantage of the Z over the SV is that it is quicker.

This means you have to ride it much faster and harder to justify your purchase.

nearly all big bikes are faster than the sv.

In the budget 600 class? The SV is almost as quick as a Fazer or Hornet. Ignoring top speed.

The Gap between the Z and the SV is quite wide however.

to 60 the sv and hold its own with almost any bike depends whos best on the clutch, i was referring to top end and higher speed riding.

Yeah it is...same horsepower but much cheaper.

100bhp for £4500 is a good deal in my book.
But will it be in the same condition as the Honda in 2 years time ??? I doubt it.....

I like 'em... I prefer the Hornet, but that's just me being a throwback most likely. Build quality does seem to be rotten, almost Bandit 6 rotten if the ones I've paid any attention to have been typical, but you can get past that.

Another reason I didn't but the Z was the build quality of me old GPz.

Kwak has to work hard to get my vote.
