Not sure, but they'll do the job. Just don't crash it and you won't have to find out!

Got mine from Hein Gerike, under £100 and don't take long to fit.

At least it might save me spending £105 on a Lower fairing mounting kit.
I don't imagine it would be possible getting exactly the model I want with all the fittings secondhand either on this site or eBay.
Thanks
I paid 92 or 94 (beer brain) for a set for a k6 pointy with lowers, back in may, straight off the R&G site.

I have a K5 with lowers and the R&G kit was 90 quid. Have dropped the bike at a standstill and no damage except for a few marks on the bar end and mirror. Have come of the bike at about 35mph and the bolt holding the crash bung snapped on impact and ripped a hole in the lower fairing. Other damage was a badly scratched up front fairing , mirror and bar end as well as ripped hand crip. The bung did take the inital impact and there was no marks at all on the bike frame or rear of the bike.
Just putting my bike back together this weekend as i been recovering and after 5 weeks of the road am hoping i do not test the bungs any time soon!

i should think most bungs would fail at a 35mph slide their there just to minimize the damage, i think there defo worth having for the cost evan if you just lay your bike on its side because of lost balance(most ppl i know have done this) got to be a cheap £100 really it can cost in excess of this to have a scratched panel re painted.

I have the older type R&G ones. I had a slow speed spill recently and the bung had been half ripped out of the cup. I mean we are talking max of 10 mile an hour here. It did it's job, but only just.

Any further slide and I am quite sure it would have just come right out.

They are good though if the bike just gets knocked over at stand still. So if you have them fitted, don't ride your bike and you will be fine.

I got mine very cheap, and they were better than the ones I had on before (you know, the invisible ones).

Have a look at my photos of damage caused by a hit and run in this thread http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=42193

I think R&Gs are worth it and I'll be fitting a replacement set ASAP.

I have R&G's on the gsxr and seem pretty good but not tested them in anger.

I had bike sliders on my SV which I had tested several times and rate them very highly, doing a quick search I cant find them anymore so they may have stopped trading

Well the rear fairing, radiator, grab handle, belly pan, frame, engine and fork leg are all untouched.
