Age 20
Brand new '06 SV650s (Value £4500 including fairing)
No no-claims bonus (new rider too)
Good postcode and garaged.

I got mine for £685 fully comp with 'Express Insurance' (an internet company) however that was their mistake as that should have been the TPFT price.
Nearest I got to that was Carole Nash for £780 for fully comp. (Both prices were including breakdown recovery).

I'm 28 yrs old, 0 NCB and just passed my Das. £380 full comp with Lowers on new SK6. I can't believe some you guys have insured your new bikes TPF+T. My Dad once got rear ended by a guy on a brand new Gixxer, only had 20 miles on the clock and he'd only got TPF+T, the bike was totalled he's probably still paying the finance now for a bike he can't ride. Surely there can't be that much difference between quotes.

23, 1 years no claims. '99 SV650S, £310 TPFT with AXA via Motorcycle Direct.
I had the choice of £290 TPFT but it didn't include cover to ride other bikes.

For a generic SV650S I got quoted £440 for fully comp with a garage and security on the bike. Thats with a £250 excess, but also includes a £21 premium for Excess Insurance - so no excess really,

Might help that I have had a full license since 1991, however it was also based on a situation where I had only just passed my Bike Test (still to do it hence theoretical)

H+R Insurance near Aberdeen was the best place to try I found.

As for TPFT vs Fully Comp - Fully comp all the way.

Used to work for a Insurance firm, so I ended up with Fully Comp with a 30% protected NCD on day one for peanuts - and they didnt charge me more if I paid monthly via direct deduction from my wages.

TPFT is pointless if the bike is moving - unless its 100% that its the other guys fault and you have proof, otherwise you end up paying for his white van to be fixed and for your own bus fare.

24, currently zero no claims as I was reversed over and some fat cow has been lying for the last 14 months (so should get that back hopefully), brand new K6S, been riding 3 years, no points, garaged, decent area £650 fully comp with express insurance, although I wouldnt specifically reccomend them (They arent an Internet company whoever said that, I got their number from the yellow pages). The reason I have stayed with them was it would have taken far too long to explain my current insurance nightmare to any other company. While we are at it, if you are offered legal cover for 25 quid then take it. It may just be the best 25 quid you ever spend.

23 (in weeks) and paid 980 fully comp with some (3) points on my license and living in a not so great area.

Used to be with CIA but be careful if you crash they will not give you much for your bike even if you go to the complaints commission! Experience pays never to go with them again
