An updated flasher relay will solve the flash rate problem. They cost about £20 though and can be a pain to fit as you need to splice the wires into the original flasher unit.
The reason behind it is that LEDs use less wattage so the resistance is less, therefore the pulses come faster. The flasher unit will solve this for you in one swoop. If you're good with electronics and have a wiring diagram it can be done in less than 30mins. Motrax do the unit and it's the universal one you need. ![]() |

You need 10 ohm resistors. I'd prefer to have them as high watt rating as possible, 25W or more as otherwise they will get real hot and eventually open circuit. Be sure to connect these in parallel to the LEDs, not in series. If you connected your existing resistors inline (in series) they won't work. Connect resistor between the (+) indicator feed supply and the earth (-).
