I've got to say I was much more impressed with the motosliders than the R&Gs, they bend too easily for my tastes, but other people have had better experiences with the R&Gs than me (for contrast, the old R&Gs that everyone hated always worked fantastically for me, funny old world). I'd not go back to R&G from Motosliders though, they're cheaper and better IMO.

Thanks for all the replies, I've sent off for R&G crash protectors, hope they're as easy to fit as the blurb says. Hope I don't drop my bike before I get round to fitting them !

Soooo glad I'd fitted my R&Gs, went to head out to shops last night, wheeled bike out of garage, onto side stand & went back for my gloves.

Turned round to see the rear lights arcing over as the bike dropped, couldn't get to it in time to try & catch it.

Can only think I hadn't put side stand all the way down.

Bungs and bar ends scratched but whole and in place. No fairing damage (I have full fairing) what so ever. Do need new clutch lever, gear pedal and back left indicator, but could have been much worse, and might use it as an excuse to fit a tail tidy.

And surely there must be something better than a side stand to rely on??

I've got some R&Gs waiting to go on. I've already had a look at fitting them, but tbh I'm worried that I'll strip a nut or something because the originals are on soooo tight.
