Stu..Go on son,I would have loved to hear that! I had my baffles out the other week and boy did it sound good! Such a more potent response in the mid range also. Even with ear plugs in I could hear every burble....fooking glorious.

The number of heads that turned! My pal in front on his Multistrada told me he could hear no sound at all from his own bike when I was behind him.

However sadly in truth it was just too loud. And so baffles just about 50mm in length now have been put back in.

Stu?

Not sure if he's got the db killer fitted, it's more a db slight inconveniencer, still could be mistaken for the big bang As loud at 3000rpm as my stubby-canned race system is at 7000, for one thing, just 2db quieter than no can at all even with the baffle in at 4. Never ran it to 4 with the baffle out, it was just too rude...

I've got the hotter cams, which does make the exhaust a little louder, but I'm sure Stu's will sound just as good. And just as hellishly loud

I think it does come with a baffle, but I doubt it would do much - the R6's muffler is actually under the bike before the can, so I can see how it could work with that. Since the SV doesn't have the muffler it would pretty much be a through pipe!!

Here I thought there was a Racefit on a SV...

Anyways, the "can" I was referring to, the Racefit Slash:

And here is an mp3 of their MEGA exhaust...

Sorry for the hi-jack...

Thanks for the encouraging words, sorry I haven’t noticed them before now.
I rode it on the road without the baffle then put it in and didn’t notice it much, if any, quieter.
As has been pointed out to me, it has passed the traffic police test – i.e. didn’t get a rectification notice for it. :P
Does anyone have any bright ideas how to baffle it a little bit more?

I look forward to hearing that pipe Stu. It looks ace!
That pipe got me kicked off til I went home to change it back to the Blueflame

Funny that they wouldn't let me off with 115dB when their limit was 105dB
10dB over? That's twice as loud (as human ears perceive it)

p.s eardrums perforate at 120dB.

Looks like you had a good day and you enjoyed it.

p.p.s are you keeping the akra?
Try 3 times as aloud. For every 3db the sound power doubles, but to the human ear about 10dB increase sounds double the loudness.

Which ever way its very loud.
Code:
120 Train horn at 1 m (3 ft). Perforation of eardrums.
110 Football stadium during kickoff at 50 yard line; chainsaw at 1 m (3 ft)
100 Jackhammer at 2 m (7 ft); inside discothèque
90 Loud factory, heavy truck at 1 m (3 ft)

Y'arr, it be Logarithmic!

The majority of Hovi5's posts would be up to the challenge I would imagine.

Here all night folks.
