I commuted in the car today.

More so because I couldn't be bothered to bump start the bike again (crap battery, won't hold a charge) rather than the wind.

But I'm with viney on this one, park somewhere out of the wind if possible, and ride with caution (no different to normal then).

hey I got blown off my bike last thursday, actually just blew me over as I pulled up to some lights, no damage done.

Wasn't going to take the chance again today, well windy on the A3 into London.

If you get stranded in Cardiff, you're welcome to crash at mine. PM me if you need to.

I'm with you on this Viney - i've ridden loads in very windy conditions and it really isn't that much of a problem. Funnily enough the worst place seems not to be at high speeds on open roads but actually in town (like riding along the Embankment in London) or while you're stopped (as per AlanSV)

I've just looked out of the window and watched a neighbours pair of terracotta planters with 4ft fir tress rolling up the road past my house - very funny

It sure is windy, and riding or not take care guys, I've already seen one car this morning with a tree on it.
