Best Toll Road eveeeerrrrrr!

I think the only thing you are not allowed really is cameras attached to vehicles or riders (though the ol' biddies in the bus that was going round seemed to be taking plenty of photos!).

They do give your bike a cursory check over at the barrier entrance - and transgression I believe can lead to you being banned. So is it really worth it to pretend to be Ghostrider?

Neil did offer the chance at going round as his pillion for a 'fast lap'! So I guess you could do that and film it - but personally I'd be cacking myself too much I'd probably drop the camera - and come off myself.
I don't do pillion.

No, but you've got to have proper biking gear on. They won't let you out in jeans and a jacket.

The advantage of when we are going is that the track is opening early so there are a hell of a lot less people on there.
Also to my mind that's the beauty of going round with Neil (the instructor). He took us round in groups of 3 or 4 (including him) and was our eyes on the others. The man knows the track so well that he can devote much more attention to watching out for other vehicles for us.
All we needed to do was follow his line and concentrate on riding. If he indicated and hugged on side of the track then we simply followed suit - letting cars by.
We even overtook a few too.

He was good at matching his speed to your so you went at a pace that was comfortable to you rather than constantly over-reaching yourself trying to keep up (that was for the trip back ).
Mind you, it didn't help if you had a nervous Italian on an SV thou going round in your group! (Read the review and you'll get what I mean.)

He was a demon to keep up with on the roads to and from the track though. Some of his overtaking - well - not being in his position I obviously couldn't see what he could see, and nor do I have his obvious skills - but man there were times he'd just dissapear round corners!

That said his method of navigation was simple so no matter how strung out we got no-one got lost (though for one long stretch on the way back it sure as hell felt like it). Basically, unless you saw him pulled up at the side by a junction - just keep going straight on. Simple in theory, and actually worked in practise too.

I can handle the cherry beer. It was whatever was in the tall glass that did me in.
