My Sv drinks oil as much as i drink Soft drinks. Mines had a hard 50k through town so id expect that, and im not light on the controls. I also found it sepended on which oil i used. I run Castrol GPX once, and it disapeard very quickly. The silkoline was the best, and the Motul that im using now is somewhere in between.

Just check it regularly, and have a 4/5L bottle at home for top ups.

most bikes will drink more than the average for the 1st 4-5000 miles, then settle down as said...all depending on how you ride that is!
