old post I know hope someone pics this up-
how do these heat shields fasten to the pipe then??.. dont they make a hole in the pipe? ignorant arent I ? or thick ! |

Mine attaches with an exhaust clamp, so it just wraps round. Some you drill and use pop rivets, and Zorstec' one, they weld on 2 bolts and then you bolt it to that. All sorts really...

Jublee clips with brackets on, then the shield bolts to that
I'm gonna weld 2 nuts to the pipe and screw the shield straight to that |

Mine bolts directly to the link pipe it all came complete!

Yeah - I have the blue wrap stuff but it looks crap after about a month! Saves the boots though! Just ordered a motocross heat shield with blue plastic bits on it - will see if that works and what it looks like! lol
Apparently it can be cut to size to fit any bike! Probably be enough there to make 4! ![]() Pic is with the blue wrap - it collects dirt and where my boot rubs its gone white! doh Last edited by minifun; 15-03-07 at 08:07 AM. |
