No good, the can itself or the baffle fitted IN the can needs to have the BS number. This is because the manufacturer certifies the can meets the relevant British Standard.

Just put some insulation tape over the 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' marking. The MOT inspector is not permitted to remove the tape, and if he cannot see the marking he cannot include it in his test report.

s'what I've heard anyway and it worked for a friend. He even got the sarky comment from the MOT inspector who'd seen it all before!

Seems strange though. I thought the MOT included a db test?
