Anyone had a look at these before?(digi gear indicator)

They won't work well on the curvy as it has noisy electrics... Don't ask me why.

Any one got any suggestions for mounting it? I'm looking at getting the GIPro, Its a TRE as well.

I can't really see the point to them, but I ride every day so don't get confused about gears. I never have problems with gear selection, even on unfamiliar bikes. They might be useful for those who only ride on sunny Sundays, but I'd still recommend learning to ride without one.

I bought a digi gear indicator, it cost me £6.5k though!!

Works well enough though, it is useful to avoid the change up into 7th thing, which did use to annoy me if I did it.

I've always avoided them, but for some reason I seem to find myself trundling along on the Daytona in 4th gear quite alot, when I could quite happily be in 6th. I had a factory fitted gear indicator on my first big bike, a Suzuki GT750L, back in 1981, and then again on a GSX750EFE in '87 - neither was reliable, but I hear things have got better.

i'm always looking for 7th! the way people talk about it you'd think it caused some harm?

No, but it is annoying ....I probably wouldn't buy one but like I say I got it for free

they do a 7 speed kit?! sounds like a great mod!
