It was tuned (~175bhp @ Rear wheel) and I think 1 off front and 2 on rear. Still...

Feckin' impressive

got the speed o to say 150 once but that eas a long road took forever

the most i think you get out of a sv is 130 to 145

but if you get 150 out of it or faster let me know
Aw bless. You really think that a 70hpish SV with 2 cylinders and 650cc is really going to do 145mph, a TRUE 145mph let alone 150?

The Sv's true top speed will be no greater than about 130mph, and thats modified and pusing it a bit. The speedo is very arong at anything above 120, sometimes nearer 15%, so keep dreaming. You cant beat Physics. Even on a dyno with no wind resisitance, the SV will just top 130 and thats not still a true speed.

on a track I've seen an indicated 167 on my SV'thou, but I reckon thats closer to 140 than 160. I've got a couple of extra teeth on the back sprocket, so I'm slower than a standard, but faster from a standing start

You really wouldn't have.....
If the bloke on the GSXR 1000 knows what he's doing there is no point during the launch where the SV will have more torque, power or acceleration. Sorry.

If you think so fair enough but I suspect you misunderstood what I meant. To clarify, my comment about lining up refered to the GSXR pulling off in 6th vs an SV starting in 1st.

I'll ask him sometime if we can have put them side to side and see how close they are and to what speed. (FOR FUN)
