No not really. Its a programme that has a similar range to the PC mapping software but on suzuki's it works direct to the ECU. Triumph and Aprilla have their own form of this too.
Am thinking of getting a custom map for my sv which has a PC3 fitted - how do you do the tuning on your dyno - do you need to do lots of runs at different throttle openings or just do a few runs at max throttle and program the map from there?
Am trying to figure how far it's worth travelling to get a good custom map.

Steve does it how its supposed to be done (like most places i assume - but how much time is spent on getting it right is the important bit and having someone who knows how to read the info)...varying throttle openings, full throttle runs etc etc. Also How much time is needed depends on how far off the fueling is to start with. - but i am not the techy one myself so my description of how its done is a little non techy if you know what i mean!!! - I should stick to riding and cleaning them!

Personally id sell the PC3 on ebay and it will pay for you to have a custom map on the ECU with some change in your pocket for something else!..although thats just my opinion so dont let that put you off keeping the PC3.

Id get the fueling checked..see how far off it is...then get the map done. If you have spent on the PC3 then to get the best from it getting it mapped is the best plan.
