Cant you just paste the link in as text then whoever you send it too can paste it into the address bar?

How about doing a system restore Quiff? To a date before you updated Messenger?

will I lose any pictures etc on a system restore?

You won't lose any of your documents but you'll lose Windows updates, anti virus updates, Java updates, new software etc which you'll have to re install (at least I do whenever I've restored)

I think you get some sort of guide during restore that tells you what you installed on a particular date. Don't know how far back you can go with restore though...

Seriously, Quiff, like I said in PM, drop me a message, I'll walk you through how to use the app. That'll take all of 10mins tops, system restore you could spend hours trying to get a way to insert links.

WLMail is plenty sufficient for me. Hell, at the moment, it's my favourite Windows email client!!

Problem solved.

As it happens, Quiff was using IE6 & Hotmail's new Hotmail Live Beta (website). He just didn't know how to add links to mails in Hotmail Live (mainly because when you hover over the links it doesn't look like they're links).

I suspect the change over came automatically by Hotmail themselves, moved the account from the old system to the new Live system. Happened to quite a few folks. That, or Quiff hit the button to use Live by accident (you can easily change it back to the Classic version Quiff, if you want to do that, gimme a shout again).

Those that recommended a System Restore should be ashamed of themselves!
