having read this post yeasterday and been hating the "feel" of the front ever since i got my bike i went staright to the petrol station after work yeasterday. Wacked the pressures up to 36/42 from the standards and my god what a difference!!!!!!!!!!! the thing all of a sudden handles and doesn't feel like the front's just gonna wash away!!

I run Avons, so 36/42. Razor is right, this was covered not long ago

Also, it's often said that forecourt readings are notoriously inaccurate. Worth a double check at home from cold if you have a standard foot pump/gauge. |

I'm 33/36 but I might try 36/42 to see if it 'feels' any better, but then my riding is different everytime I start the bike so we will see.

The pressures for the curvy were set 8 years ago, and tyres have moved on a bit since then I reckon.
If the man from Michelin tells me 34/36 are the right pressures for PR2's then I gotta go with them. Why would they give out duff info? |

Too much pressure and your tyres will wear unevenly and it'll be bumpy as hell cos your tyres don't flex enough.
I've been running 33/36 but I'm going pump them up to 36/42 to check what the handlings like. Last edited by Law; 08-05-07 at 09:39 PM. |

Quite! Use the pressure that the tyre manufacturer recommends. Hence I use Avon's recommended pressures.
