Its running Bridgestones Battlax, I guess these are the original fit tyres. I replaced the front with the same as was on it. Only with tread.

Looking at the road today makes me think it was a combination of the elements, road surface change and the grease on the road. The bike rode OK on the way home after, all be it with no left foot peg. I'm going to try to find someone to have a bloody good look at it anyway.

I've checked what I think to be the most obvious things, chain tension, rear wheel alignment and suspension. All seems OK.

Other than a new clutch lever all the replacement parts are all now ordrered.
Thankyou all for the support and advice.

Will have to post up a second rebuild thread in as many weeks LOL

Main purchase will be some crash bungs!!!
