Lol @ you two...

I think the Ti can won't look good on a black bike, but I reckon the carbon fibre one will blend in nicely - I think it will look like it could be a standard can (but not like THE standard can if you see what I mean!). One of the probs is that there are literally 0 photos of the CF version - if you do find one send it my way! Otherwise i might have the privilege of having the first ever pic of the CF version on the net

So comparing to riding pillion on the SV it's actually a lot worse? My gf (actually fiance now, I need to learn that!) holds on to me anyway (through those handles that strap on to you - but I haven't actually got them yet, used to borrow some!) and the position didn't look that different so I was hoping it'd be similar! As the suspension is a lot harder I thought the bumps, etc, would definitely be more noticeable. It sounds like the pillion pegs are in fact in a different position, from your description?

I've heard of people gutting the standard can if that's what you're after? To be honest, before I found out the Akra was available, I was thinking of doing the same - you can pick up standard exhausts for peanuts on Ebay!

Yes the pillion pegs sit higher up, so effectively bringing your ankles back further under your bum you feel more propped up ontop of the bike than you do the SV and the seat is really narrow but the back of the bike quite wide so its in a very weird way of sitting on the back!! can't really describe it. I think she may struggle to be comfortable if she is very tall. I'm only 5ft so i would be less cramped than a taller person. (if all this makes sense).

Never tried love handles have thought about getting some for my little bro as he is useless at holding on properly, although like James i have now taken my pillion pegs off and replaced my hanger footpeg with a nice matt black hanger mmm looks good .

As for the GSXR exhaust i will see what they have about when i come to change bikes. You never know i may not end up with a GSXR, depends what i can fit on because of my height (i have short legs but normal body length so i can fit from tank to handle bars not a problem but my damn legs are too short!!!).

She's 5' 2" I think, so not too much difference. Still, if you were cramped that means she definitely will be!

Hmmm, I've just realised why Sam had such a hard time going pillion on my bike..... it's cause she wasn't wearing the official pillion clothing for Gixers .... i.e. Stilettos, Strappy Top and short mini skirt! Obvious really....

For the current generation gixer 600s n 750s the standard can sounds a treat and looks really good. The aftermarket systems on here look very good also and probably add a touch more power.

Here's one stubby(ish) on my bike which looks lots better than the standard can IMHO although not as good as the above.

Is that a Yoshi can? Doesn't look like the right sticker but looks like the can...I have to say that pic is lovely! So you would prefer the 600/750 exhaust on your 1000?

I took the pic a couple of months ago at the top of Fish Hill between Evesham and Stow, a challenging uphill sweeping complex of bends.

It's the proper titianium Yoshi tri-oval can for the bike, it was given with the bike as part of the K6 sell off last year so it has the for SUzuki badge on it as well. It's a lot shorter than most aftermarket cans and even has a cat and an alleged 4% increase in midrange !

I really like the current 600/750 exhaust but my 1000 does not lend itself to it, the nearest is the Scorpion that I've seen but that still uses the rear foot peg hanger.
