so, in the right hands, does a ss600 go round corners better than an ss600?

I always liked the aesthetics of the old one, but I don't really like the way this one looks (which is odd, considering how similar they are). My choice would still be the 2004 ltd. edition 'stealth' version, but with an earlier full power engine.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm, 'Busa.

OK it's fat, fugly and should have a sign saying "Caution: Wide Load" instead of a number plate...

... Kinda like my 'Blade really.

Which is probably why I goddamn love it - it's the only thing that could possibly tempt me to trade in the BlueBlade...

... though it's safe as I couldn't afford a new bike anyway.

So - Fat - I'd call it 'curvacious'.
Fugly - ahhh, but lovely hair and a great personality.
'Wide Load' - well, so is Santa's sleigh, and think of all the gifts of enjoyment that carries.

Now that's a stupid question...

My point is, they have a reputation for being difficult to go round corners at speed. Which is not the case as I have witnessed myself on the tight hairpins of the Grand St Bernard.

Pete was whacking his 'Busa round them quicker than me on my 'Blade and over took some French guy on a GSXR600 by going round the outside of him. And the guy on the Gixer was no slouch.

Like anything you have to get used to them, but having ridden one myself I have to say that there is a place in my heart for such a beast. Whether there'll ever be a place in my garage is a different matter.....

And in the right hands, a SS600 can go round bends like a GP bike

I'd have to check - I mean, that blue's not quite dark enough for my discerning taste.

I didn't like it much myself, too fast felt too slow but I was very impressed with how well it does handle, it's much slower turning than most sportsbikes but so stable. Took me a while to adapt to it but once I did it was ace. Doesn't feel at all heavy either. I wouldn't want to try squaring off corners on it like you can on a really sharp bike, mind. Preferred the Blackbird as a better allrounder and nearly as good rocketship though. Never did try the daft Kwaks or BMWs.

Not my sort of bike at all really, they excel at things I don't really want to do, but that doesn't make them bad- and when you look at the Busa and Blackbird, they're both old designs and both still absolutely ace bikes.
