I've got the protector, its better than the no protector option.

Phew .. just got back with a bunch of things

Tank bag :- Great. Someone on here reported that the magnets arent strong enough to hold it on the bike. Works fine for me .. maybe your tank is plastic Expandable, has its own little waterproof cover .. blah blah. Cant go wrong for £10!!!!

Small tank bag :- £3, havent tested yet. Bought it just to hold the GPS / PDA

Boots :- Surprisingly comfortable. Had a struggle getting the 10.5 size .. last ones there and fit nicely Havent tested them on bike yet, will wear them this afternoon. Hopefully they are nice and waterproof

Waterproof jacket and pants :- Havent tried yet, not bad again for £10

Mask :- for those cold winter days. Cant remember how much .. pennies

Jacket for missus :- Looks the goods. Seems to have everything you need, a bit of padding, and looks waterproof enough. ~£39 or so

Pants (trousers to you British :P) for missus :- Again .. looks good for price. More padding, she will feel a bit safer

All in all .. under £100 I think it all was. Cant complain at all

Got me a back protector for £15 and the rain kit for £10 - Bargain!

Loads of stuff at the Reading store but was going fast..

Got the back protector, looks OK to go with my summer mesh jacket (which has no back protection and no pocket for one either, unlike my winter jacket), which I haven't used this summer yet .

Like the instruction booklet - "It does not, however, guarantee physical invincibility!".
