I've got this so far http://www.buybits.com/product/sku_3608.aspx

But how do you mount a Camera / GPS to the diamond bit at the top? GPS is probably by buying yet another component but what about fitting a camera? My manual for the DSC T200 says not to use a screw longer than 5.5mm but nothing about width. Why's this all such a faff?

The diamond plate locates diagonally onto the back of a TomTom Rider mount. You feed the screws through the holes into two of the four locating screws and its done.

As for a Camera mount, you remove the diamond plate and fit a different ball-ended mount the fixes to your camera.

This place has loads of mounts, look pretty decent and cover a load of different sat nav systems

What camera do you have?

I use a Sony HQ-2 bullet cam attached to a DVX h.264 . I either use a helmet mount suction mount system or a clamp on the handlebars rather than a RAM mount system. You might get a good dedicated camera solution from these guys - DogCam

I've got a Sony DSC-T200, It's a digital camera but the video on it is pretty good. I'm not going to buy a dedicated bullet cam & DVX, just wanted to use this with a relatively cheap mount. Evotech looks the simplest and I've ordered some bespoke bolts to mount it. Simples.

I was pointing you in the direction of the dedicated mounts, not the camera.

Glad you have something sorted.

No worries mate, simple misunderstanding. No apology needed.

I have used this mount for the bullet cam and a normal digital camera on the bike, in the car and for general use. It has a shock absorbant RAM mount ball on the camera end and will happily take a normal digital camera or video camera. £22.99 delivered.

I mount it on one side of the bars and use a RAM mount for the SatNav on the other side.

Thanks mate,
I looked in the manual, low and behold it now works.
Instead of tom tom designing a reset button feature, why didnt they just stop the bloody thing packing up in the first place.
