I totally agree. Just a little put off by the reliability issues. I have heard one or two horror stories.

told by a few people who had early Buells, repeated by many. It's like the 'awful agricultural gearbox' .....which was replaced nearly 2 years ago with an nice one.

Neighbour of best mate got rid of his Jap sports bike and bought a new Firebolt. It actually spent more time in the garage than on the road, including a new gear box. He now has a Japanese bike.

my mates buell has been fine, its the 06 with the new gear box. lots of the horror stories were from early buells.

It's still not that good, though. But yes, it's not broken any more. Buell have done an awful lot of growing up in public, which is a shame.

my only problem would be with that belt drive, you still hear of stones getting caught in the rear drive pully and snapping the belt and HD want £800 for a new one fitted.

WTF???! - they only last about 15,000 miles too dont they??!
