Was a good weekend, and the weather held up as well, just a few spots of rain that affected the first superstock race of the day.

Saw Rob and had a chat - I'm thinking of camping out at Donny in September if you fancy some BBQ and beer !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If anyone's interested James Hillier finished 13th in the Supersport race - I know 13th isn't the best of places but when you consider he didn't qualify very well (26th on the grid), that's quite a good result to make up 13 places. James is still very upset about the loss of his friend and team-mate Guy Sanders at Mondello Park earlier in the year, so to make a good start to the race and then pick off other riders one by one to make up 13 places has really boosted his confidence - I left him yesterday with a smile that was wider than his arm span.

I saw your flag, i think, while I was stood on the top of the bank between sunny out and the complex. We're you right at the top of the bank somewhere near the middle between hawthorn and chicane? By the time I got over to the banking at that side of the circuit the flag was gone and I wasn't sure where it'd been

Good result for James anyway, especially to make up so many places. I'd never been to croft before but it doesn't seem to be the easiest place to make a pass.

Yep, that was me, right at the top of the bank.

I spoke to the team who were in the pit lane, they said all they could see when they looked over the track was the flags.

I was only there on the Saturday as I was working on the Sunday. DOes anyone know what engine the marshalls car had in it (the blue Audi), it sounded awesome. I wish I'd gone for the Sunday now as the racing is much more exciting than the qualifying.

It was great to see the 125 2 strokes being thrashed to within an inch of engine failure for lap after lap

I think it's an S4, isn't it? 4.2 V8 if it is.

The sponsors section in the BSB press pack says the following:

"Audi is continuing its support of the British Superbike Championship for a twelth consecutive year. Once again, a pair of 420bhp Audi RS4s will act as
pace cars, while Audi A4, A6 and Cabrio models will provide medical and circuit back up."

Cheers for the info guys. I didn't buy a program as I was only there for qualifying so didn't get the info on the cars.
