No idea how to fund but we have 2 years, were getting married in the winter casue thats when we want it but it will have to be at the weekend due to geographical locations. The venue is likley to be £3k alone for the lunch time recpetion!!. it will be worth it and of course i can wait another year for the Tuono, ![]() |

What he said. That's how me and Mrs Tiger did it. For a tickle over $300 we had Elvis/Pink Cadillac/Church/Preacher/ Licence/Flowers/Photos/Video/ and paid somebody to be a witness. When we got home we had a party
![]() We were on holiday anyway so flights and accommodation were effectively free... Friends of ours are doing exactly that. Unless you're a pair of teenagers just starting out in the world chances are you don't need plates or bed linen! |

me and the other half got married last month (27th July) the whole wedding cost just under a £1000, that was a reg office do though. One bridesmaid and bestman so that cut down on the dress costs. I got my dress in a sale, husbands kilt was on offer (kilt, shirt and sporn for £100) no cars just taxis, my flowers came from ebay as did the invitation. Scottishrawker took the photos and our friend videod it for us, also the rings were got in the winter sales. Oh and the cake was from tesco (yummmmmy stuff). We went back to the local pub with local caterers (the most expensive part of the day) and we all had a brilliant time

CONGRATULATIONS
I just got married in Cuba and it did not cost that much. We paid for a 2 week holiday all in 5 star for £2000 ish and added the "wedding package" on top which was £550 and that included everything from flowers to music. Pictures on the beach with white sands are just fantastic, photographer was £300 for 150 pics in alban and CD with 4-5MB digital origanal images. We also took mums and dads with us so the cost went up abit but you don't have to take them! |

Do it in another country
![]() We are getting a good deal on the photography because her older brother and his wife are these top-dog fancy photographer types, that's saving us something stupid like $10k. But I don't know if we'd pay that much if we didn't have a good deal! |

I spent more on my divorce party than I did on our wedding...fact.
And a bloody good divorce party it was too. |

I got married in Matlock Bath last Friday (10th August)
Marrige & reception at the New Bath Hotel My now wife say's approx cost £4000 for everything Get married on a Friday afternoon, cheaper & you only have to feed everybody once, Pick a hotel with a wedding licence & good gardens(for the photo's), drinks may be pricey but that will keep the drunkeness down to a merry high, Spend the extra & get a ceilidh band (like www.Beggarsbeliefband.co.uk), everybody gets up & gets involved instead of the usual pants disco, Everyones got digital camera's now so don't get a photographer, just download everyones photo's, the natural photo's are the best rather than the posed for one's. Practise for the first dance, don't do the hang on for dear life wedding shuffle, we did a tango to the Red Elvises 'Tango', felt a tit doing it, but it went down a storm, Great day Sod the cake, speaches, Bridesmaids and stuff like that, they take up too much of your time and you have better things to worry about, What ever you choose, the day will make all the stress of planning just disapear, Good luck John |

Apparently "I am," is the shortest sentence in the English language.
Surely "I do," must be the longest... Wishing you and yours many happy years together mate, whatever you decide to do. ![]() |

Sod relatives you never see, family you can't stand. Ensure potential mother in law is well dead and at least 6ft under. Have a quite wedding with a few close friends. A good meal and a few bottles of wine. Yes I got married for .....
£100 for the wifes frock £75 for my suit about £30 for the wedding itself £300 lunch. OK that was 15 years ago. We wanted to get married. We couldn't have cared about anyone else. Spent our wedding night at home. but the b'stards in my local came round and dragged us out to a surprise party. BTW it is our anniversary come up next week, what does one buy for 15?
