Richie. Did you use a hand saw to fell the tree or a Chain saw? I'd have been alittle peaved that it was felled with a chainsaw at that time of the morning, to be up front with you I wouldn't have started till gone 9 anyway. Just common courtesy. And as far as the neighbours wifes alarm clock waking you up then that is just unfortunate. Maybe you could ask them to move the alarm clock away from the wall, or some thing like that.

Have you showed him the felled tree and where it was felled from? If in deed the tree is only 8 foot then you could show him that it would be a total impossability that it would have brushed passed his window.
And if all this reasoning fails with him just go out at 4 in the morning and rev your bike!
LOL!

Just common courtesy. Lost all common courtsy when he took me for a mug and fooked off half way through fixing his missus bike... to go to the pub and left me & WRC63 putting it back together for him.

LOL!

he's said sorry for wife alarm clock since and I've also said sorry for the tree thing... as now he wants a bigger bike (currently a Honda CBR 125) and wants some help to look for the right one.
So samehead is in goodish books again.

if i remember rightly its completely council dependant
for instance:

Generally the permitted hours within the Blackburn and Darwen Borough for construction work are:
  • Monday - Friday 8.00am - 6.00pm
  • Saturday 8.00am - 1.00pm * UNLESS A PERMIT HAS BEEN GIVEN
  • Sundays and Bank Holidays *NO WORKING UNLESS A PERMIT HAS BEEN GIVEN
* In practice this means that no work should be undertaken which disturbs local residents. This includes possible disturbance from vehicle movements to and from the site.

i dont know where you from but the info is available on most local councils websites

HOPE IT HELPS

before 9 and i would have walked over and had a go at you with my own chainsaw, reallistically id wait till after 10 on a weekend. TBH i wouldnt bother till after midday but then im fat and lazy so getting up prior to noon on a non work day just aint gonna happen. I understand that they might be up early during the week but wtf is wrong with you if you get woken up by your neighbours alarm? in that case id invest in earplugs or go to more gigs so as to bugger up your ears so that your cant hear it.

Seriously before 9 is just rude on a weekend.

What utter rubbish. I come from an upbringing of burning daylight. If it is light WTF are you doing slobbing in your pit. Get up and get something done.

What ever happened to the early to bed, early to rise.
