42, been riding since June this year, should definately have done it sooner, already on my second bike, my first being a zephyr 550, but I love riding the SV, hour and half each way, back ache, numb legs, but wouldn't give it up now for anything.

I take great pride in the "YOU'RE JOKING", comments when I tell people that. This is often followed by "I THOUGHT YOU WERE YOUNGER THAN THAT", or even better "YOU MEAN YOU'RE ACTUALLY OLDER THAN ME ???".

And I fear that I must remind a fair few of you of 2 things :- (1) Youth is wasted on the young (courtesy G B Shaw) (2) Age is a state of mind - it's just a pity that most people don't realise this until they are over 30 !!

21. I'm often the youngest person with a bike wherever I go.
My dad has observed that the average age of people at a typical biker meet is probably over 35 Matt |
