Surely on your first bike smash you would have had the crash whether you were in a car or a bike? You were ok as well. The second one, I dunno, just promise you will ride safely. At the end of the day, it's your decision. Nice to know they love you though.

I was limited by that too!
makes sense to over value when you take it out - don't think it always costs more.

Why not promise your family that you start IAM to put their minds at rest?

With your new found wealth:
Divorce the family, join the Hell's Angels and get money by keeping all their bikes immaculate. I think a "will work for autosol" T-shirt will be helpful.

i think you're right muffles, me walking round in a sling off work dont help much i think buying now would only wind them up more i think they need a cooling off period too. when i wrote the last one off i was only without a bike for 2 weeks before there was another one parked in the garage

I just got my offer through yesterday for my silver SV650S K3 pointy which had 17,000 miles .........£2,500.
I should get another £200 back for my excess, which they've already deducted.

Wouldn't have been able to sell it for £2,500 never mind £2,700, so I'm well chuffed

Cool, well thats not a bad result for the bike mate.
I know where there is a minter of a GSXR600K3 going. Low milage too!
Now thats a total change from the Silver/SV theme.

How much tax?
Can apply for a replacement for £7? & cancel that.
Should've bought the scrap.
