my mate just put his xbox on one of those projectors and says its ace, saw a 40" lcd the weekend (new sony bravia) i wasnt impressed, seems the bigger the screen the worse the picture on tv channels that is, xbox and pc was fine tho.

I've noticed that. The bigger the screen the more pixelated it looks.
I did watch a HD DVD the other day on one - wow! It was like looking through a window.

its a pitty they cant do more with standard digi tv at the moment without having to pay for HD, I'm glad at the moment i stuck with 32" anymore would have depressed me.

I'd love a proper conema setup. One day maybe.

I heard about someone playing Wipeout 2097 at the time of it's release in the cinema he worked in as a projector operator.

Lucky fecker. Just imagine playing along to the Prodigy's Firestarter with megawatts of THX gear too. Musta been awesome.

What to do though. My computer is upstairs but the tv is downstairs. Could I use my latop with the tv??

"yes" laptops usually have a monitor output, just buy a cable and plugg it in

The Everyman cinema in hampstead hires out screens for just this purpose. They will also serve refreshments and nibbles, you choose what consoles to bring and what music they play too.
All if you can afford it of course.
