If the speed is reduced to 50, the pysche of both people using it and the police enforcing it changes. Certainly my opinion is that if its a national, people will push that limit whereas if its a specific limit below that, people will tend to stay around that limit.

Will let you know what it's like.

EDIT :-
Didn't make it over there, when stright from Leeming to Layburn then Hawes, then on to Lancaster as work didn't finish on time.

Well I went over there this afternoon, and to be quite honest...
The only speed limit signs were as normal for entering villages, and then National limits on leaving, no 50MPH signs anywhere.
and the double white lines were only in the places were it was not safe to over take.So it's still a cracking road, quite quiet this time of year as only
saw 1 other bike on the 19 mile streatch, and only 9 cars and 4 artic's...
and one police officer in a van.

Makes me want to puke my current skinful of Pride of Pendle. Whilst I know YOUNG Mr numbers is a Lancastrian doing missionary work amongst the heathens on the wrong side of the Pennines and needs to maintain his cover. Why do other post with pride their embarrassment?.

I ask you. Who would want to live in a land where at least 95% of your neighbours are confirmed sheep fiddlers.

Not going to tell me about a good road?. WTF. Do I have to blackmail you with threats to disclose the dirty deed you did on the 3 counties stone. I do believe there is an angry grandfather with both barrels loaded looking for the miscreant
