I managed it in a VW Beetle with a flat battery & my Flatmates and their shopping in the back once....

The AA guy was a very nice man & didn't point & laugh at all....

Doh!! Opps I guess it could err happen to any us, through flashing lights on dash shouldn't be igorned my buddy once did when his dash board lit like an xmas tree casue the brakes failed....no wonder he crashed eh! Thats yanks for you though.

I once though I ran out of petrol on my 125 it had a fuel tap, I set off for a ride with it closed.......I glided to err a graceful stop it took a few minutes for the penny to drop as to what happened once it did I back to riding I just have a flashing light on the SV, umm orange flashing thing......

I have only run out of petrol once and that was an experiement to see how far the bike would actually go. Never run out of petrol in a car.

However, Verna has run out of petrol once!

Try dealing with some of the posh muppets whos cars I've worked on, that has been quite amusing at times. Like the girl who was too busy to buy oil, and the engine went bang at the end of my yard

I think I should know better really. I'm not a complete thicko. I must admit that I am pretty clueless about cars but that's due to laziness and never having to service them or fix them myself.

OK well theres usually a little flap thing at the back, and on some cars you put your key in and theres a cap you can unscrew,

its sort of the "done thing" to go to a thing called a "petrol station," which can usually be identified by a big lit up board outside with things writted on it like "unleaded" and "diesel."

When you find these things you can unscrew the little cap thing and put some fuel in there, I'm sure the people at the petrol station will be willing to help if you struggle with that
