I have business insurance, I got the broker to quote without and with and I paid the difference - about £45 - from my business account, which I thought was legit. Most of my clients don't bat an eyelid, some are bikers so positively welcome it, but one or two definitely would not appreciate me turning up in leathers. But using my bike for this is not getting paid to ride. My bike is a leisure thing, as Bear says I think I'd soon get fed up if I rode for a living.

i was a courier for about a year, at first it was great but when the weather turned bad the novelty soon wore off. my missus actually made me give it up as it was destroying my love of bikes. (she has no interest in bikes at all.) I managed to sling a 600 diversion under a car as well which didnt help! (diesel) i currently commute about a thousand miles a week to different places of work (southend, london, broxbourne, cardiff, manchester, leeds, macclesfield etc)and most days i enjoy the ride, occaisionally it gets bloody hard work,(bad weather or 600+ mile days) and if i find myself losing interest in using the bike, or not wanting to go out at the weekend then i'll use the car for a few days. i have business insurance on my bikes through ebike which was bloody good value.

Considering having a go at it in the hols.
For me (e-bike) business use class one covers you for driving in connection with your buisness and transporting goods in connection with your buiness except if your buiness is delivering goods/food etc, cant remember the exact wording. You need to go to another level of insurance which i think is the highest e-bike offer.

I also added mine to the policy so it would probaly be cheaper if i did it at renewal time.
