They don't want to drink proper beer from the South - that way they can preserve the pretence that theirs is better.

Anyone else noticed that beer has suddenly got weaker? Lager now 4.8% when it used to be over 5%.

Just to warn everyone that we are still trying to arrange to have a fire but we cannot guarantee it.

The issue is lack of decent firewood and the rain forecast for Thursday and Friday.

We've had lots of offers of pallets and other softwood offcuts, but these don't burn for long enough. So at the moment Martin (NTEUK) is trying to source some railway sleepers, a chainsaw and transport to get them to the site, but it's only worth doing all this if the pub can offer some dry storage later in the week as there is no point in paying for sleepers that just end up soggy and don't burn after we've paid £40 for them.

Check with Jon but from what I understand everyone HAS to be registered on the org, apart from pillion parters of course.

But there is nothing to stop him from joining this week.

Just put a tarp over the wood and peg it down well and all will be good

Yep, just need to find a tarp and someone to do that as I'm working this week.
