To be honest I am so rubbish at soldering that I might not bother. There was some corrosion in the battery chamber anyway. If I did want to fix it then all I need to do is remove the front ring again.

Rangefinder patch? No, that is optional as well. Popped the top off to reglue the rf mirror. I think it is about as good as it will get now.

No rangefinder patch? The lens has distance settings as back up I guess.
Did you get to try the X700?

The internal mirror fell off and was in the top plate. Spot of glue and its fine. Vertical alignment is off a bit but usable. Not had a chance to use the X700 but we are going away at the end of May so will take it then. I won the lens by the way Johnny.

Yeah, might have to find another Praktica body to put it on.

Try a Fujica if you haven't got one. I'm really liking the ST705 and the stop down metering is a doddle to use once you get used to it.
Nice f1.8 lens on the Konica.

It's supposed to be really sharp. I managed to turn the screw around so it is outside in and doesn't mess up the trim. Seen a mint P30 for a tenner as I want the lens.

Really don't need another body though. Can't believe the prices on XD7s, also seen an X700 for £100!
