Re: Vintage film cameras
The shutter speeds could be a bit slow yoko, but really with film these days and the corrections they make, it takes some doing to really overexpose. Can you see blown-out highlights, or is it all just a bit too pale?

Re: Vintage film cameras
I think you can get a couple of stops either way to play with. Can't grumble for the price.

Re: Vintage film cameras
A bit of both really. Some shots are OK but others are either a bit paler than I'd like or have highlights too bright. It's probably user error and dealing with high contrast as much as anything.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Little lens looks quite neat on that.
My battered 35RC went for £46. |

Re: Vintage film cameras
Its a lot smaller than the standard 50mm. Not sure whether to get a body for it or not. That is a decent price. I think prices in general are crazy at the moment.

Re: Vintage film cameras
Finally got some batteries for the EOS 300. Glad to say that so far it works fine. Its strange to have an autofocus film camera though. The AF is snappy and the camera responds quickly. The camera spools out the whole film and then rewinds into the canister when you take a shot. That way, if you open it by mistake then you only ruin the unused film and not what you have already shot. I think I saw an EOS 700 listed as faulty as the seller didn't realise that the camera would spool out all of the film.

Clever! Pancake looks good too. Yoko you good a good price on the Olympus. Kenzie did you say you saw another Electro Set on ebay recently? They're like hen's teeth, though maybe less so in Japan.

Re: Vintage film cameras
I did but I had my bid cancelled. It was listed as vintage olympus. Annoyed to say the least. Just down at Felixstowe while my wife is at a meal. Got a T50 with 28mm and a Cosmic Symbol with me but I am losing the light.

Re: Vintage film cameras
This one?
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/232303943183 don't worry it's not the same. That one has a D. Zuiko f2.8 lens and looks a bit beaten up, I'm guessing it's shutter priority by the massively long shutter release. Mine has a G. Zuiko f1.8 lens and looks a little different, but not so much I guess, and is all manual, also a little wider I think. |
