Actually when you think about it, unless you are a sub-3 runner, which I don't think any of us are (apologies if I am wrong) it is just another long run.

The setting is a bit different and there are more people to keep you company, but that is all, so there you go just another long run.

One piece of advice for the day is to get your shirt printed with your name front and back, if you hit a tough spell, thousands of people will see that and all you will hear, until you pick up again will be people shouting "Come on Sarah - you can do it sarah" so if you are emotional take a tissue, it choked me up a bit the first time I heard it for me and at the time I badly needed it!

It will fill you with pride, you'll puff out your chest and the tough patch will be gone!

Relax about it, you WILL get a marathon PB!

You will no doubt feel all the sorts of aches and pains you are used to feeling, but somehow in your head they become worse. So remember they are just the same ones you always get, you will know if you really have an issue!

Don't do anything silly in terms of runs now - it's too late to change anything.

Try a little run in the full kit you are wearing on 25th, wash it, then pack it away ready for the day! One less thing to panic about.

What day are do doing the expo?
thanks for the advice.

i haven't got my vest yet. i need to nag the charity about that. they are supposed to be printing my name on it.

i have already started a list of 'stuff to remember'. i like lists!

i haven't decided when to go to the expo. i was thinking of going one day after work during the week so that it was one less thing to worry about at the weekend. how long might i want to spend there?

well not quite as impressive as you lot doing marathons ..... but i reached my goal of running 3km in 20min before my bday, well i did it today got 3.08km in 20min and my bday is on Tuesday so im pretty chuffed

not lost that much weight though even though i have been doing it every other day for the last 2 months but feel a lot better for it, the weight thing could be because im also doing weight lifting as well, still just under 17stone :/, but mum treated me to some proper running trainers got some Asics Kayano 16's soo comfy vs my £30 ordinary (squash) trainers
