Re: The All New Megathread
Dry tomorrow, hopefully, so I've pencilled in a ride.

Re: The All New Megathread
I'm riding to Claythorpe water mill - it was shown on this weeks Motorbike Show. Somewhat embarrassing to admit I had never heard of it despite having ridden to the Royal Oak (aka "The Splash" - there's a ford to cross) which was only 10 miles or so away and 30 miles from where I live. My feeble excuse is that Lincs is a big county.

Re: The All New Megathread
I've book marked that place too. Some interesting places appear on various TV programs and I look them up on Google maps and save them for future reference. So if I'm in another part of the UK (like Brighton last weekend) and looking for a place to visit, I just take a look at my saved places in Google maps.

Re: The All New Megathread
I was looking at the map for Claythorpe. I find it funny that you drive through Muckton and then on to Belleau which I'm guessing was derived from beautiful water. So from Muck to Beauty - I could imagine the villagers fighting, the Muctonites sneering at the stuckup Belles.

Re: The All New Megathread
I do the same with a BBC program. Think it's called touring Scotland's lochs or similar.

Re: The All New Megathread
Love that program! We have them marked off in a list to visit when we go to Scotland.

Re: The All New Megathread
Claythorpe Water Mill looked better on the telly not helped by watching the young waitress stroke a cat and then deliver someone's food. The Royal Oak (The Splash) at Little Cawthorpe is nicer (and nearby). The road between the 2 was good though.

Re: The All New Megathread
An old colleague of mine was from Greece, and used to say: "I have no plans, and I might not even get around to those", which pretty accurately sums up the weekend for me
