I guess it depends on the measurement being made, I would imagine there are a few scales used throughout the world....and no doubt the US one has bigger numbers than the UK one
Hope you check out alright Bill and the eyes get sorted soon enough. Not a nice place to be right now I can imagine but I'm sure it'll work itself out for you just fine!
