That's okay. The run is during the day.

Just started my training for the Edinburgh Half Marathon on the 10th April 2011. http://www.edinburgh-half.co.uk/ anyone on here taking part.

The training plan I'm using is the Nike+ Coach, so should be interesting as I've only ran 10K once in my life before...

Will keep you updated on how the training pans out.

Cool. It's always good to have a target to aim for

I like running, my old man ran for the UK, my Brother runs and I run. We've all done marathons and half marathons blah blah, but in all my years (ramblers excepted) serious runners are the most boring bunch I've ever known. It's not the running talk, it's the injury talk, and they don't drink or do anything else exciting, they're too skinny for their own good and they need to eat more pies and relax a bit more. I think I started running to get away from them, until the ankles and achiles started playing up......argh don't get me started

I agree there are some strange runners and cyclist who all they talk about is grammes of protein, carb loading and treat one pint as a major blow out. My personal approach is a bottle of red the night before a long run, and puddings with custard at the canteen because they taste nice. It stops me getting carried away! I like the action of running, talking about it all day is duller than discussing SV sprocket ratios!

Better go and get a fry up now, mmmmmm...
