He had recently aquired a tl, so am wondering if anyone matching his discription has posted on a tl website.

If he is real, and I am in two minds about this one, kind of hoping he isn't to be honest or this thread will look somewhat disrespectful, then I do not believe that his real name was Dave. Dangerous Dave was a cartoon character from somewhere or tuther I believe.

I don't see how he can be real given the info from "becks". She said that his real name that he is known by to his family and her is Dave...he was being repatriated, going to QA hospital and have a full military burial, but thetre were no such repatriations or military burials for anyone called Dave and meeting his description at that time, so it's all bull. I don't need any more proof than that.

Yes, this thread would look disrespectful if he was indeed real and has died, but given the information we have (from becks) and we can only go on facts.....I think it is entirely justified.

I just think it's sad. It can be funny when no-one gets hurt, but some people genuinely liked the character and were very sad when they thought he had died.....especially on RS and so close after losing one of the best characters on here. For that, I think it's disgusting!

that is what I thought she said, I also thought she said he had fought to the end, I took that to mean he had an illness and had not been KIA. I feel a bit of a fool now as I had sent a couple of PMs to Becks asking how she was while he was away, if its all fake, its all very sad.

It wasn't for evidence, it was for Rowdy as he couldn't remember where the Dangerous Dave cartoon character came from.
