It is uphill, surely... You're standing downhill from t'missus (sorry I don't know her name)... The hairpin to the left is coming "down" the hill as it's above you, and you're standing lower than the bike (perspective of the tarmac edge concludes).....

Sorry to be pedantic....

I can see this degenerating into the daftest conversation about a daft crash.
Fantastic!

Matt, talk us through that fell of going 20mph in a straight line crash again. Did you fall asleep or have a schitzoid embolism?

I think I know what he means. The photo is taken looking downhill on a steepish slope, and the road joining from the left is at a much steeper angle than it appears. I guess it's the angle that the photo is taken at, because it seems to focus on a bike laying down having a rest, so the background doesn't appear to be falling away by much at all

During an ill conceived drag race against a pal on his RD250, I had a very embarassing moment on my 250 Kawa.

There were lots of hottish local babes watching and so we set off. Only prob was, about 30 metres after our finish line the road turned sharp right. I was young and needed the money and my skills at 17 were sh*te tbh! Anyways some considerate house owner had left his double gates open and so provided me with an exit route! Heading straight on ,up his drive I went and right up to his back gate via the entry which seperated the house from it's neighbour.

Eey my face was so purple!

Now if you were all sensible, family loving by the book motorcyclists like a certain someone around these parts, you would have nothing to report here. Jeez, wish I was so perfect,(read-boring!)

Opens pop corn and waits.......

But on reflection I think it best to ignore me and treat me as the thoughtless moron I aspire to be.

Saw my mate do pretty much the same thing, he ended up with his head on the front mudguard and his legs in the air, with his boots still lodged in the mud!

Getting the bike out of the shed. I walked backward out of the shed, lost my footing and slipped. Bike landed on my legs and the gear lever was digging right into my foot. The more I tried to escape from under the bike the more the lever dug into my foot. I was stuck under my bike not more than 5 paces from my front door. I thought about shouting for some help, but decided that seeing as it was still quite early, the chance of it being Jo that came to my rescue was quite slim. It would more than likely be one of the boy racers from across the road. That would have been even more embarrassing than I already felt now, without anyone having seen it.

I eventually, with an extreme amount of cursing and pain, managed to free myself enough to wriggle out.

Thank god no one saw me, I think I would have melted into the tarmac with embarrassment.

Just bought my 10R having previously been riding the shorter geared 600. Had 130 miles on the clock. I was trying to pull out of the bike parking at work but it was lunch time on the last day before the Easter break when the whole site leaves at the same time.

So hundreds of cars all streaming down the exit route, I saw a gap and went for it. I had to turn on full steering lock as the bike parking is 90 degrees perpendicular to the road way. Forgot I had longer gears and stalled. I put my foot down but it was leaning to far and down it went. I couldn't pick it up and had to call over some old guy who was getting on a little commuter bike to help pick it up.

What with people in their cars and hoards walking over to their cars there was no shortage of spectators...
