I could be tempted by that too.
But I agree with Blue about the big cicuit events.Brands BSB is a bit of an ordeal as a day out,and anything further afield is a lot of an ordeal.I dont like crowds much,so tend to stick to Brands or elsewhere on a Bemsee day which is great.

ferry was £100 per bike(stranraer to belfast) b n b £35 per night. For us it is a weekend away, with some racing thrown in. We did more riding then watching racing, but then my attention span is about as long as a nats c*ck, and the roads are lovely (I don't remember a single raised white line!)
The main race day this year is May 17th (saturday). The Irish seem to love it, last year they reckoned there was over 150,000 spectators, all stood in peoples gardens! I also HATE crowds, but it is worth it for the roads you can ride and a bit of Irish warmth. As I said, the racing is a bonus, and these fellas are for real, you can see the adrenaline in their eyes ![]() Last edited by Tomcat; 02-01-08 at 09:06 PM. |

![]() I live on the south coast, so stranraer is quite a hike for me ... but as we are saying, if you take it as a holiday then it starts to make sense ... I could make it a 2 day ride up (plenty of stops/visits to nice places), 2 days there, 2 days back ![]() |

You could take the Fishguard/Rosslare ferry and ride up the east coast ![]() |
